Hanabusaya asiatica Nakai
The Hanabusaya asiatica is literally called the Kumkang lantern ("Kumkang
Ch'orong") in Korean as it was found in the Kumkang Mountains by Nakai, a
Japanese botanist, while Korea was under the rule of the Japanese
Imperialism (1909 -- 1945). For this reason, Nakai named the flower after a
Japanese governor-general to Korea at that time, Hanabusa. |
