According to traditional Korean geomancy, Hahoe Village is in a most ideal location. The Nakdong River curves around it like a Taeguk. Here both Yangban culture and popular culture developed in harmony. Today Hahoe continues rich cultural celebrations such as the Byeolshin Kut and the Chulbul Nori. The Byeongsan Seoweon (academy) is also located here.
