Corylopsis coreana Uyeki
In early spring, before the tree leaves start to appear, about a dozen small yellow-green flowers bloom, clinging on to the tree stem. The way the flowers have raised their fluffs up tight makes them resemble young birds complaining about the cruelly cold spring wind. The corylopsis coreana grow mainly in the areas surrounding Mt. Chiri.
