Sunrise Peak  At the moment of sunrise every January 1, Seongsan-ri, called Sunrise Village, holds its unique sunrise festival around the grass square near the ticket booth at Seongsan Ilchul-bong. Face the magnificent first sunrise of the new year as the Wishing Ceremony takes place. An ascending dragon, six boats in the misty Sumapo and Wumutgae, and fireworks on the grass square will inspire you with huge breath-taking images. Kites will sail in the gray dawn expressing the longing of reunification of our two Koreas.
