Jo Su-mi to Hold Seven Concerts

S
oprano singer Jo Su-mi returned to Korea Wednesday for a month long stay during which she will hold seven solo concerts at Busan, Daejeon, Chuncheon, Gwangju and Seoul to raise funds for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Jo's vacation away from her busy performance schedules in Italy and Europe has become the season for her Korean fans to listen to their favorite Prima Donna sing.

Jo will hold solo concerts at the Busan KBS Hall at 8:00pm June 29, accompanied by the Busan Symphony Orchestra, at Chungnam University in Daejeon at 8:00pm on July 6, at Gangwon University in Chuncheon at 7:30pm on July 12, and at the Gwangju Culture and Arts Hall in Gwangju, Jeonnam Province at 7:30pm on July 15.

In Seoul, Jo will have three concerts. The first one will be held at 3:00pm in the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center under the title "Happy to be a Woman " on July 8. Hosted by LG Electronics, it is an occasion prepared by the company for its female customers who bought LG refrigerators.

Jo's fans will be able to buy tickets for two concerts in late July in Seoul. Easily claimed as Korea's best soprano, Jo Su-mi will take the stage of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts' Grand Hall accompanied by the Boston Pops Orchestra on July 25 and again at the same venue with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra on July 29.
