The Digital Chosun's English edition is based primarily on reports from the Korean language newspaper the "Chosun Ilbo," although articles published on a weekly or monthly basis by the media group are also used. In addition our own staff and outside contributors sometimes supply material.

All reports carried are translated from the original Korean and although we do our best in rendering a readable English edition, problems can occur in translation, due to the differences in writing style between Korean and English. Sometimes Korean names will also be spelt differently as there is no unified system of romanization of phonetic symbols with regard to this; for example the Korean symbol "ÀÌ" is romanized as Rhee, Yi or Lee, depending on the idiosyncrasies of the person involved.

Articles can also vary in length and content as extensive re-editing and re-writing is undertaken, and sometimes several reports are compiled into one.

All facts are taken from the initial Korean language reports and so we cannot be held responsible for factual errors; any questions regarding these should be referred to the "Chosun Ilbo" newspaper, although we would appreciate being notified also.

Our staff are a small (eight) but dedicated team of experienced individuals in the fields of journalism, translation and editing, and as such our aim is to inform our readers of events happening strictly in Korea or related to the country's overseas activities. We welcome any suggestions on how we can improve our service to you.
